You have received your custom-made seat covers from Baminger and are wondering how installation works? Good news: you need neither tools nor prior knowledge. In this guide, we show you step by step how to fit your new covers in around 30 minutes.
What You Need
- Your Baminger seat covers (delivered with installation instructions)
- Approximately 30 minutes per row of seats
- Optional: A helper for the rear bench
No tools are required — all Baminger covers come with a well-thought-out fastening system that works without drilling or screws.
Step 1: Preparation
Slide the seat all the way back to give yourself enough room. Remove any loose items and briefly vacuum the original seat. Lay the cover out and check which side is the top and which is the bottom — the label marking will help.
Step 2: Fitting the Backrest
Always start with the backrest. Pull the upper part of the cover over the backrest and draw it evenly downwards. Make sure the seams sit at the edges of the seat. Secure the cover at the back using the supplied hooks or Velcro fasteners.
Step 3: Fitting the Seat Surface
Pull the seat surface cover over the seat from front to back. Tension the material evenly and fasten the straps or hooks underneath the seat. With Baminger covers, the elastic backing material ensures the cover sits wrinkle-free.
Step 4: Fitting the Headrest
If your cover set includes headrest covers: remove the headrest, pull the cover over it, and reinsert the headrest into its mount. This takes less than two minutes.
Step 5: Fine Adjustment
Sit in the covered seat as a test. Smooth out any remaining wrinkles by pulling the cover taut once more. Check that all fastenings are secure and the cover does not slip.

Frequently Asked Questions About Installation
Can I install the covers on my own?
Yes, for individual seats and the driver's/passenger's seat this is easily done alone. For a full rear bench, a helper is convenient but not strictly necessary.
Do I need to remove the seat?
No. Baminger seat covers are pulled over the existing seat. Removal is not necessary.
Do airbags and seat heating still work?
Yes. All Baminger covers are approved for vehicles with side airbags. The seams at the airbag positions are specially designed so that the airbag can deploy unobstructed in an emergency. Seat heating functions as normal.
What if the cover does not fit?
Baminger seat covers are custom-made for your specific vehicle model — not universal. Should anything not be right, contact us directly. We will find a solution.
Summary
Installing Baminger seat covers is intentionally straightforward. No tools, no seat removal, no specialist knowledge. In 30 minutes your seats are protected — and look better than before.
